The ISE Electronic Driver Logs application is a fully compliant, modular, end-to-end application designed for implementation on existing telematics solutions. The system consists of a mobile driver interface, flexible communications channel and a simple yet powerful web interface to be used by dispatchers.

System Overview
Driver Interface
Web Interface

The ISE Electronic Driver Logs application consists of a modular
end-to-end enterprise software architecture. It is primarily
made up of three components:

Driver Interface—resides in the vehicle on a fixed or removable display and typically connects to the vehicle data bus
Communications Channel—exchanges information between the vehicle and web application and is capable of interfacing with most existing wireless communication mediums
Web Interface—displays driver logs information to the dispatcher including violations, driver time, mileage summaries and driver availability

The driver interacts with either a handheld device or a fixed display to record status information: On Duty, Off Duty and Sleeper Berth. The status information along with vehicle data is used to generate an electronic driver log. In addition, the driver interface has a proprietary HOS library used to calculate the remaining driver availability and displays that information on a user friendly status screen. To support roadside inspection, the application has incorporated a comprehensive onboard driver log view. The driver log can be easily navigated to provide information regarding the current day’s logs and also logs from the previous seven days.
