In 2002, Hass Machlab started Innovative Software Engineering (ISE) in the basement of his home. From there the company began to grow, and moved into the University of Iowa’s Technology Innovation Center, and later to the Oakdale Research Park in Coralville. In May of 2011, ISE opened an 11,000-square-foot facility in Coralville. Since then, ISE has doubled their workforce and today employs over 60 people.
In June of 2017, ISE was acquired by Trimble. The acquisition expanded Trimble’s fleet safety and compliance solutions and allows Trimble to offer electronic logs as a service. ISE is a part of the Trimble Transportation Sector, under Trimble Transportation Mobility (TTM).
